The Kapuso Network Executives are currently establishing good relations with top executives from different Korean channels such as KBS, MBC and SBS. A very reliable source from GMA 7 said that the visit have created a lot of opportunities for both the Kapuso Network and the Korean stations. She hasn't divulged any information on the plans that the network executives have cooked up with their "Kapusong Koreans" yet, but she gave a very promising news.

Star Cinema of Korea heard about the visit of GMA 7 Executives. They approached them and expressed their interest to bring some of their stars here in the Philippines. They heard about the Korean wave taking the Philippines by storm and they were all excited to explore the possibilities of filming a Korean-Filipino drama series. Both parties have already come up with various projects, our source said. But GMA Network will not publicize any information until all deals have been closed. But our source gave us a few infos about one of the plans that might push through within the year. Lee Dong Gun (popularly known as "Martin" of Lovers in Paris) might visit the Philippines to personally thank the viewers who watched and supported his Koreanovelas Lovers in Paris, Sweet 18 and Stained Glass. He will be promoting his upcoming series that will be aired soon over the local boob tubes. Among these are Sangdoo, Let's Go to School (with "Justin" of Full House) and Friends (with "Andrew" of Endless Love 1: Autumn in My Heart). Both Koreanovelas we've heard, were acquired by GMA Network.

This is a good start for the Kapuso Network and its Korean partners to take the first few steps in making Asian series a bigger blast in the international market. The network may soon be visiting other neighboring countries to create more partnerships and make the Philippines part of the Asianovela fame. Earlier this year, the network has sent representatives to Los Angeles, California (L.A. Screenings), Bangkok, Thailand and Taipei, Taiwan.
